Women's Shoe Sizes Description |
Women's shoe sizes are not universal figures in the whole
world. In
the USA, Europe, China and Australia etc, one person should buy shoes,
as it were, of different sizes. How can it be? The person is the same,
the foot is the same, but the sizes are different. There is no point to
be surprised much, because there are no international size standards in
women's shoes (in other kinds of shoes as well). That's why,
one
can find many various conversion charts that help people find
out
which size corresponds to which one in different countries. Such charts
are simple in use and can be easily found online.
There are three main lengths that a shoe-size system may refer to:
*the average foot length for which a shoe is suitable. Customers prefer
this length type as it is directly related to their feet, but it is
rather inconvenient for manufactures;
*the length of the inner space of the shoe. The advantage of this
method is that it is easily measured on the finished product, but the
manufactures don't give the detailed information how the figures are
obtained;
* the length of the "last" (a piece of wood/metal shaped like a human
foot, used by a person who makes and repairs shoes). This method is the
easiest one for the manufacturers. As it shows only the tool that is
used while producing the shoe, it is rather inconvenient for
customers, because lack of information leads to a wrong choice of
women's shoes.
Don't forget that each company may have its own size system of women's
shoes. The sizes that offer Nike
and Puma
companies can be different, that's why, it's better to consult with
assistants which women's shoes size one should choose.
Another tip is to keep in mind that human feet differ from each other.
Right foot can be longer than the left one or vice versa. Women's shoes should be bought
according to the size of longer foot.
